Yeah...definitely said I was gonna start this a while ago. That didn't happen. But better late than never, right?
Let's go ahead and nip this "Jersey Shore" thing in the bud: If we were we really offended by this thing, then we wouldn't watch it, but we do. So what's the problem here? Every race has their stereotypes. Black people only eat fried foods. All Latinos are illegal immigrants. And all Italians are in the mob and/or now really, REALLY (fake) tanned and stupid. It happens, either fix it or get over it.
I must confess that I'm a reality nut. And I don't usually watch shows similar to this and "The Real World." Sitting young people in a house. without a tv leaves you with not a lot of options. So they're all gonna do the same thing. It's all about the personalities. But JS is something that I've never really seen before, so I'm all over it. It'll wear off after a while, but for the time being it's one of the greatest things on television.
So just let it happen, people. Let it happen.
