...that was it?

Leno acted like he never even left the 11:35 time slot. It was just another show for him.

........

Was he always this boring?

It may have just been my fault for letting nostalgia over-inflate my thoughts on how good he. I remember that watching The Tonight Show was my way of rebelling: staying up late just because I could, even though I had to get up around 5:30 to get to school by 7:15 (whole different story in itself). And because of that, I thought he was the funniest person alive, and he might have been.

But he isn't now.

If it were not for Jamie Foxx (and for Jimmy Fallon following him), I wouldn't turned it off and headed to bed. Lindsey Vonn was bleh, and I dislike country with a passion, so I was surfing okayplayer Brad Paisley was on.

It was just alright. Leno's way too comfortable. He know he pretty much runs late-night around NBC, so he's on cruise control. Which is sad, because I really liked Conan.

Whatever.

Good thing Jimmy was funny. Check out his LOST parody if you can.

Time for a change.

Why do y'all let me slack off?

Oh, because nobody's reading it. Right.

Anyways, Leno's coming back on tonight! Excited? No? Yeah, me neither. The whole Conan situation still sucks, and having Leno come back on air after what many consider to be a horrible product with the Olympics, NBC just hasn't been playing it smart. If it weren't for Hoda and Kathie Lee on the fourth hour of the Today Show (plus The Office, but that's a given), there wouldn't be much of a reason for people to watch NBC. I think they need major renovations up top. Happens in sports all the time. When a team sucks after being successful for a while, they change it up.

Time for a change.

I'll watch Leno tonight. I will. Just to see how he handles everything. Because I liked his show before he "retired". But it's gonna be a different show. Especially with Kevin Eubanks leaving as well.

I wish I knew the politics of television. That way I could figure out how to fix everything and make everyone happy. Ah well. Gotta start off small, I guess. Like a blog.

Which nobody reads.

It's a start.

Sidenote: Shaq out the rest of the season with a bad thumb? Yeah....

Oh Tiger...

story.jpg

You realize you had nothing to apologize about regarding us, right?

The fact that you get freaky when out on the road is not of my concern. You're one of the most famous people in the world, but you're still human, so it's easy to understand that you may get lonely when out on the road for the better portion of the year. Understandable. Lots of athletes do it. No need to apologize to us. Your wife? Oh yeah, you better get like Kobe as far as apologizing to her goes. Pink diamonds and everything. But not to us. That's a private matter that unfortunately became public due to you status as a celebrity. So don't worry about what we say. Just get back on the course so those other golfers can start making money. When you go back to kicking their butts they'll be mad at you for another reason.

HOWEVER, if you are gonna tell us why you did all of this, couldn't you at least tell us what happened on the night that caused all of this commotion? Sure, Elin didn't attack you, but did she get mad because you were going to get a booty call? I just gotta know...

It's been seven years since Outkast released an official studio album.

Wow.

Idlewild, while good, doesn't count.

That's really crazy, especially when Speakerboxx/Love Below was one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Why would they take so much time off? I would be right back in the studio.

Record label disputes keep pushing Big Boi's album back, which in turns pushes Outkast's album back, but this gives me hope:

As corny as it looks, it's a start. He probably shot it while he was between labels (Jive was jerking him around, threatened to go to Def Jam, Jive caved in) so he didn't have the budget for it. But again, it's a start. His album is set to come out next month, so here's hoping...

The Most ... Super Bowl I've Ever Seen

The game was average.

The ads were underwhelming (I watched them all, but I felt liked I missed some. Where were the Miller High Life ads? I was looking forward to those.).

And the team that I was "rooting" for didn't even win (I didn't like either team, but my dislike for a Falcons rival topped my dislike for the Colts.).

There wasn't even any big plays outside of that interception. And if you watch the game, you would've seen it coming. The Colts basically ran the same two plays the entire game. The ran the ball or threw the short inside slant the whole game. The whole game. Granted, it's nearly impossible to stop if you mix it up with other pass plays, but they didn't. And in the second half with the lead, the Saints took a risk an jumped the route, and it paid off. Whatever. Call it what you want. Destiny. The best team winning. An off day from Peyton (Granted, he still had a better game than most quarterbacks in the league. That was average. It's just that average doesn't cut it in the Super Bowl.). It was all just....bleh.

This ad was pretty funny though.

This one too.

Team Coco

Simply enough, the whole situation was bull.

NBC completely mishandled everything. Outside of their Thursday night comedy lineup, right now they're seen as a corporation that has no idea what it's doing. They wouldn't have needed Comcast to buy them out if they had been managed properly the past five years which, conveniently, was the same time that they promised the Tonight Show to Conan O'Brien.

I mean, it's simple.

TV networks want ratings. Leno was getting them ratings at 11:35. Conan was getting them ratings at 12:35. SO WHY ARE YOU CHANGING IT? I'm aware that Leno didn't want any controversy like there was between him and Letterman years ago, but this was a different situation. Johnny Carson was done with television we he handed over the show. Done. Leno wasn't and he knew that he wasn't ready to go. So why was NBC trying to force him out of a spot that he was dominating? To save money on prime-time programming? That's stupid.

If that's the case, then follow the FOX motto of two hours a night. Couldn't hurt NBC any more than this mess that they're in right now. Actually, it'd probably be a lot better. Only would've pissed off the local affiliates, and nobody really cares about them, right? Right.

I'm surely not siding with Conan because he got canned. Trust me, he's doing much better than most people in America right now. It's just the fact of the matter. NBC didn't even give him a year. That's like getting rid of Obama before he gave his first State of the Union address last night. And they're trying to make it up by picking up a show from his production company. Whoo.

Makes up for him having to move his entire staff and their families across country so that they could all keep their jobs, right.

Well played, NBC. Well played.

Man, I got some catching up to do.

I know, I know, I'm slacking. But I'm gonna make it up. I'll talk about as much stuff as I can tonight, and then get on a regular schedule tomorrow. Let's start off with the easiest thing, I guess.

Do I need it? No. Will it improve my life? Not at all. Do I already have everything that it basically combines (ipod (touch), cell phone, laptop)? Absolutely. And yet I still want it.

It's basically an ipod touch notebook. But it's sooooo purty. And it's from Apple. The name alone makes me want it. *Sigh* One can always dream.
